HEATLIST

Rules

The complete rulebook for HEATLIST fantasy athletics.

How does it work?

  1. Pick up to 10 athletes for your team per meeting.
  2. Designate one athlete as captain — they score double points.
  3. Athletes score points based on their finishing position per event.
  4. An athlete competing in multiple events? Only their best result counts.
  5. Bonus points are awarded for records (PB, MR, NR, ER, WR).
  6. Higher meeting levels award more points for the same finishing position.

Team Selection

How to build your team for each meeting

  • Select a maximum of 10 athletes per meeting during the selection window.
  • Designate exactly one athlete as your captain.
  • You can update your team as many times as you like while the selection window is open.
  • Once the window closes, your team is final and cannot be changed.
  • Athletes who do not start score 0 — no substitutions are allowed.
  • Only athletes registered for the meeting are available to pick.

Points per Finishing Position

Base points depend on both the finishing position and the meeting level. Higher levels award more points for the same position.

Captain

Your captain scores double base points

×2

Captain bonus = base points × 2

Designate one athlete as captain before the meeting starts. Any record bonuses are added on top afterwards.

Record Bonuses

Added on top of base points (after the captain multiplier). Only the highest record bonus counts if an athlete breaks multiple records.

Multiple Events

Important

What if an athlete competes in both the 100m and 200m?

Only the best event counts

If an athlete competes in multiple events, only the points from the event where they finish highest are counted. Other events yield no additional points.

Example (A-level meeting)

100m → 3rd place16 pts
200m → 1st place ✓25 pts
Counted25 pts

Why?

This prevents athletes who enter many events from automatically outscoring specialists. Choose your captain strategically.

Scoring Example

Step by step: how is a team score calculated?

Season Rankings

How the overall standings work

  • Your season score is the sum of all your meeting scores across the circuit.
  • Every completed meeting you participated in counts towards your total.
  • A missed meeting scores 0 points and is still counted in your total.
  • The player with the highest season score at the end of the circuit wins.
  • In case of a tie, the player who played more meetings wins.

Fair Play

Rules every participant must follow

  • One account per person. Using multiple accounts to gain an advantage will result in disqualification.
  • Do not attempt to manipulate or exploit the scoring system.
  • Respect other participants — unsportsmanlike behaviour will not be tolerated.
  • Results are entered by official administrators. Disputes must be submitted via the contact form within 48 hours of results being published.
